Free subscriptions to the following magazines are available through the Illinois State Library Talking Book and Braille Service and can be requested from your Talking Book Center. Cassette magazines recorded by the Illinois State Library Talking Book and Braille Service are disposable. Please do not return them to the library. A brief description of each magazine is provided. An order form is attached for your use.

AARP BULLETIN (monthly)
Legislative news of interest to retired people; health care and costs; Social Security.

BARRON'S (weekly)
Business, finance, and stock market information.

CAPPERS: TAKEN TO HEART FOR MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED YEARS (biweekly)
This down-home paper is filled with practical advice offering money-and- timesaving suggestions. Much of the material is submitted by the readership.

CHOICE MAGAZINE LISTENING (bimonthly)
An anthology of unabridged articles, poetry, and fiction from one hundred magazines such as The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and Smithsonian.

COUNTRY (bimonthly)
Rural and small-town living; crafts and foods; reviews of country inns and farm vacations.

CYBERSKIP DIGEST (monthly)
Focus of computers, Internet and privacy issues.

DIABETES SELF MANAGEMENT (bimonthly)
Current information about diabetes research and patient care.

GUIDEPOSTS: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO SUCCESSFUL LIVING (monthly)

HUMPTY DUMPTY (9 issues)
Exercise, good eating habits, and safety are emphasized through stories, poems, comics, and activities in this health-oriented magazine. For children ages 4-6.

KIPLINGER'S RETIREMENT REPORT (monthly)
Advice and trends of interest to retired persons and to those planning for retirement.

MIDWEST LIVING (bimonthly)

MODERN MATURITY (bimonthly)
