The Board of Examiners of Horseshoers, created in 1897 with members appointed by the Governor, supervised the registration of horseshoers practicing in the State of Illinois (L. 1897, p. 233). It was abolished by the Civil Administrative Code of 1917 and its powers and duties were transferred to the newly created Department of Registration and Education.
